Common Questions about SVR 5

When should I choose SVR 5 instead of SVR 3L?

Choose SVR 5 when you want a better price and can accept darker color than SVR 3L. If your product needs a light Lovibond color and high cleanliness, SVR 3L is usually the safer choice.

Standard export documentation includes COA, Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin (CO) when required. EUDR supporting documents can be provided upon request (depending on program and shipment scope).

Yes—EUDR-aligned supply is available upon request, subject to volume and lead time. We support traceability and due diligence documentation for customers with EU-facing compliance needs.

If stock is available, shipment can be arranged quickly after confirming specs, volume, and payment terms. For production orders, lead time depends on factory schedule and packaging requirements.

Prices are linked to market movement and stock availability. We confirm final pricing when volume and shipment schedule are locked, then keep the price per the agreed validity window.

SVR 5 typically has a Lovibond color greater than 6, meaning it is visibly darker than light-color grades such as SVR 3L. It is not specified for appearance-critical applications and is selected primarily for cost efficiency and stable processing.
If your product requires controlled or light color, SVR 3L or CV grades are the appropriate alternatives.

SVR 5 is typically supplied in loose bales.

This is because SVR 5 is commonly off-grade SVR 3L in terms of color. Over time, natural rubber color may darken during storage, causing material that originally meets SVR 3L cleanliness requirements to exceed the light-color threshold.

Loose bales allow factories to visually inspect, segregate, and manage color variation efficiently, which is more practical than palletized packing for material classified by appearance rather than formulation or compounding purpose.

Packaging & Shipping DAta

APT Rubber offers flexible packing solutions for our natural rubber products to meet diverse international shipping requirements. We provide standard 33.33kg and 35kg bales, wrapped in either Thin PE (dispersible) or Thick PE (strippable) film based on your processing needs.

Customers can choose between Loose Bale packing for maximum tonnage or Pallets for easier unloading. Our standard 20ft container load capacity ranges from 19.2 Metric Tons (MT) to 21 Metric Tons (MT).

Stabilize Your Production with COST-EFFICIENT SVR 5

Don’t let raw material price volatility and over-specification inflate your compound cost.
APT Rubber supplies SVR 5 for manufacturers who prioritize processing stability, cost efficiency, and scalable volume over visual appearance.

SVR 5 is designed for high-volume rubber goods where color uniformity is not a critical requirement. By relaxing appearance constraints, manufacturers can achieve lower input costs while maintaining reliable processing performance.

Unlike premium light-color grades, SVR 5 focuses on functional consistency, making it a practical choice for cost-sensitive and industrial applications.

Why Leading Manufacturers Choose to Buy SVR 5 from APT Rubber:

  • Cost-Efficient Grade: SVR 5 offers a more economical alternative to SVR 3L when light color and visual cleanliness are not required, helping optimize compound cost.

  • Stable Processing Performance: Produced under controlled technical parameters, SVR 5 supports consistent mixing, molding, and extrusion in high-volume production.

  • Lovibond Color > 6 (Typical): SVR 5 is visibly darker and not specified for appearance-critical products, making it suitable for applications where color is non-limiting.

  • Suitable for Industrial & General Rubber Goods: Commonly used in applications where function, durability, and throughput matter more than surface appearance.

  • EUDR-Aligned Supply (Upon Request): Traceability and due-diligence documentation can be provided for EUDR-aligned shipments, subject to order scope and destination.

  • 25+ Years of Manufacturing Experience: Established in 1998, APT Rubber delivers long-term manufacturing know-how in technically specified natural rubber grades.

  • Direct from Manufacturer: Supplied directly from our Vietnam factories, ensuring supply control, transparent quality management, and responsive execution.

Our Quality Control Process

From raw material intake to final bale, we monitor 5 critical control points to ensure stable technical performance, controlled impurity levels, and compliance with TCVN 3769:2016 for SVR 5—optimized for cost-efficient, high-volume production. This grade is manufactured in our owned Vietnam natural rubber manufacturing facilities under ISO-aligned quality systems.

1. Raw Material Reception

Incoming raw materials are inspected and screened to verify baseline quality and remove visible contaminants before processing. SVR 5 focuses on functional consistency rather than appearance control.

2. Coagulation & Pre-Processing

Controlled coagulation and handling are applied to minimize contamination risks and preserve essential rubber properties suitable for industrial and general-purpose applications.

3. Mechanical Processing

Crumbing and washing processes are calibrated to meet SVR 5 impurity limits under TCVN 3769:2016, ensuring reliable processing behavior without over-specifying cleanliness.

4. Drying

Drying temperature and duration are carefully controlled to maintain stable plasticity and prevent premature thermal or oxidative degradation during downstream processing.

5. Laboratory Testing

Each production lot is tested prior to packing for key parameters including dirt content, ash content, nitrogen content, volatile matter, and plasticity (P₀ and PRI). Results are documented in the Certificate of Analysis (COA) for shipment reference.

Our natural rubber production lines are supplied and periodically maintained by Quang Trung Mechanical Co., Ltd., a reputable Vietnamese manufacturer specializing in rubber production lines, laboratory equipment, and wastewater treatment systems for the rubber industry.

APPLICATIONS

SVR 5 is selected for applications where functional performance, processing stability, and cost efficiency are prioritized over visual appearance and color uniformity.

Unlike light-color grades, SVR 5 is not intended for appearance-sensitive products. It is widely used in applications where color variation and higher Lovibond values (>6) are acceptable under standard rubber processing conditions.

Final suitability depends on compound formulation and end-use requirements.

Industrial & General Rubber Goods
  • Industrial molded rubber components
  • General-purpose rubber sheets and profiles
  • Rubber parts used under non-critical mechanical and visual conditions
Cost-Sensitive High-Volume Applications
  • Rubber goods produced at scale where material cost control is critical
  • Applications prioritizing throughput and stable processing
  • Products where appearance does not affect performance or acceptance
Technical Rubber Components (Non-Appearance-Critical)
  • Molded technical parts without surface appearance requirements
  • Rubber components requiring consistent processing rather than color control
  • Compounds optimized for cost-performance balance
Consumer & Utility Rubber Products
  • Household rubber items
  • Utility and general-use rubber products
  • Consumer goods where color variation is acceptable

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR

SVR 5 is not recommended for the following applications where appearance or color control is critical:

  • Light-color or white rubber products requiring controlled Lovibond values
  • Appearance-sensitive consumer goods with strict visual uniformity requirements
  • Precision rubber components where surface cleanliness directly affects product acceptance
  • Products requiring specified Lovibond color limits ≤ 6
  • Applications where SVR 3L or CV grades are explicitly specified by customer or end-user

For these use cases, SVR 3L or constant-viscosity (CV) grades are typically more appropriate.
